Job summary

Contemporary Amperex Technology Kentucky LLC (CATK) is seeking a Training & Certification Specialist to develop and manage the hourly workforce training and certification programs.

You will partner with L&D and operations to design standardized curricula, deliver on-site training, assess competency, and guide promotion pathways, ensuring a sustainable, skill-based manufacturing operation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Education, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, certifications, and operator skill development.
  • Experience with Ford Production System (FPS) standards and Lean Manufacturing practices.
  • Background in curriculum development or adult learning.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
  • Core competencies: Instructional Design & Training Development, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Technical Communication, Continuous Improvement Mindset, Workforce Development & Planning, Lean Thinking & Problem Solving.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Learning & Development (L&D) to define and deploy the training/certification framework.
  • Establish training plans aligned to operation requirements and business goals.
  • Define operation-related training requirements, content, and certifications.
  • Coordinate daily training delivery and tracking for hourly personnel.
  • Assist engineers in delivering and completing technical training modules.
  • Oversee operator certification assessments and competency development.
  • Facilitate internal promotion by assessing operator readiness.
  • Design and implement Train-the-Trainer programs to build SMEs at the hourly level.
  • Link training needs to the plant training coordinator for alignment.
  • Provide data and support for workforce development tracking and KPI alignment.
  • FMK expat & traveller visa & system transfer support.
