Job summary

AmeriVet is hiring for a full-time animal care role. You will provide daily care for dogs, cats, and other hospitalized or boarding animals, including feeding, walking, and cleaning according to veterinary instructions.

You will assist veterinary staff, document activities, maintain clean facilities, and help transport animals within the hospital while ensuring a safe, compassionate environment for patients and clients.

Qualifications

• Experience handling dogs, cats, and animals in a clinical or boarding setting is preferred.
• Ability to follow feeding, medication, and care instructions accurately.
• Strong observation skills to report changes in animals to veterinary staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for dogs, cats, and other hospitalized or boarding animals, including feeding, watering, walking, exercising, and cleaning.
• Maintain clean, sanitary kennels, cages, runs, and treatment areas; follow hospital protocols.
• Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and routine hospital tasks; document activities.
• Safely transport animals within the hospital and to outdoor areas as needed.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
