Job summary

AmeriVet is seeking a compassionate team member to provide daily care for hospitalized and boarding animals, including feeding, walking, and cleaning. You will observe animals for changes in behavior and distress and report concerns to the veterinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for dogs, cats, and other hospitalized or boarding animals, including feeding, watering, walking, exercising, and cleaning.
• Observe animals for changes in behavior or distress and report concerns to the veterinary team.
• Safely handle and restrain animals using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and routine hospital tasks.
• Maintain clean, sanitary kennels, cages, and treatment areas according to hospital protocols.
• Document feeding, cleaning, and other patient-care activities as required.
• Support admitting and discharging patients and transport animals within the hospital.
