Job summary

NVA Pet Resorts in Norwalk, CT seeks a Part-Time Kennel Technician (Pet Pro) to care for dogs and cats in a busy home-away-from-home setting. You will supervise playgroups, feed, clean, monitor health, and document notes while welcoming pet parents with warmth.

Weekend/holiday shifts are required; you’ll work indoors and outdoors, handle enrichment activities, and help manage multiple pets. Stay active and ready for a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs and supervise playgroups.

• Engage pets in enrichment activities and basic obedience games.
• Communicate with leadership and pet parents about care.
• Be comfortable around messes and cleaning products; laundry duties included.

We’re looking for a Part-Time Kennel Technician (internally called a Pet Pro) to join our team and care for our furry guests at their home away from home.

What You’ll Do

As a Pet Pro, you’ll be hands-on in both daycare and boarding, providing safe, loving care while keeping our resort clean and welcoming.

Your day may include:

• Walking dogs and supervising playgroups
• Feeding pets and administering medications
• Cleaning and sanitizing pet rooms and common areas
• Monitoring pet health, behavior, and interactions
• Documenting care notes and communicating with leadership
• Engaging pets in enrichment activities like fetch, walks, and basic obedience games
• Comforting shy guests and managing high-energy groups
• Laundry and general facility upkeep
• And yes — you’ll scoop poop, clean messes, o home with fur on your clothes, and probably get plenty of sloppy kisses.

• Passionate about dogs and cats

• Comfortable supervising multiple dogs at once
• Able to recognize and prevent conflicts in playgroups
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits
• Friendly and comfortable speaking with pet parents
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

You must be able to:

• Stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Work indoors and outdoors in various temperatures
• Handle large and small dogs confidently
• Work weekends and holidays
• Be comfortable around pet messes and cleaning products
