Job summary

NVA Pet Resorts in Hooksett, NH is seeking a full-time Pet Pro (Kennel Technician) to care for dogs and cats in a busy resort setting. You’ll take part in daycare and boarding, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and a welcoming environment for every guest.

The role involves hands-on animal care, supervising groups, and maintaining clear care notes alongside a supportive team. Weekend and holiday shifts are required, with paid training and employee pet care discounts.

Qualifications

  • Gentle, patient, and safety-focused.
  • Comfortable supervising multiple dogs at once.
  • Able to recognize and prevent conflicts in playgroups.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits.
  • Friendly and comfortable speaking with pet parents.
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Walking dogs and supervising playgroups
  • Feeding pets and administering medications
  • Cleaning and sanitizing pet rooms and common areas
  • Monitoring pet health, behavior, and interactions
  • Documenting care notes and communicating with leadership
  • Engaging pets in enrichment activities like fetch, walks, and basic obedience games
  • Comforting shy guests and managing high-energy groups
  • Laundry and general facility upkeep
  • Scoop poop, clean messes, and probably get plenty of sloppy kisses

We’re looking for a Full-Time Kennel Technician (internally called a Pet Pro) to join our team and care for our furry guests at their home away from home.

What You’ll Do

As a Pet Pro, you’ll be hands‑on in both daycare and boarding, providing safe, loving care while keeping our resort clean and welcoming.

Your day may include:

  • Walking dogs and supervising playgroups
  • Feeding pets and administering medications
  • Cleaning and sanitizing pet rooms and common areas
  • Monitoring pet health, behavior, and interactions
  • Documenting care notes and communicating with leadership
  • Engaging pets in enrichment activities like fetch, walks, and basic obedience games
  • Comforting shy guests and managing high-energy groups
  • Laundry and general facility upkeep
  • And yes — you’ll scoop poop, clean messes, o home with fur on your clothes, and probably get plenty of sloppy kisses.

You must be able to:

  • Stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 60 lbs
  • Work indoors and outdoors in various temperatures
  • Handle large and small dogs confidently
  • Work weekends and holidays
  • Be comfortable around pet messes and cleaning products
