Job summary

Pet Lodge is seeking a hard-working Kennel/Petcare Attendant to ensure dogs in our care have a clean, safe, and comfortable environment during their stay. The role is full-time and requires reliability in a high-energy setting focused on animal welfare.

You will manage feeding schedules, keep living quarters tidy, and provide bathroom breaks, contributing to the overall peace of mind and happiness of our Pet Lodge families.

Job Summary:

If you are a hard-working, detail-oriented animal lover who doesn't mind rolling up your sleeves, we want you on our team! We are looking for a dedicated, full-time Pet Care/Daycare Attendant to ensure our furry guests enjoy a clean, safe, and comfortable environment during their stay.

As a Pet Care/Daycare Attendant, you are the backbone of our facility. You are responsible for the core health and happiness of the dogs in our care—managing their feeding schedules, keeping their living quarters spotless, and ensuring they get their regular bathroom breaks. This is a highly physical, fast-paced job that requires absolute reliability and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.

Essential functions and responsibilities :

Supervising dog s ; engag ing the dogs with enrichment and play activities ; preventing and responding appropriately to animal fights or behavioral conflicts.

Monitor open play groups of various sizes , breeds and temperaments to ensure safe socialization and prevent any scuffles.

Assist with safely handling dogs as they arrive and depart , ensuring all personal belongings are logged and returned.

Routin ely cleaning and sanitizing Resort areas including play yards, boarding rooms, and lobbies ; removing all forms of pet waste as necessary .

Learn and recognize subtle dog body language to intercept stressful situations or unwanted behaviors before they escape.

Monitoring p et behavior and activities for safety; r eporting health concerns to other members of the team ( General Manager and /or Shift Supervisor ) .

Adhering to all pet and human safety protocols at all times.

Providing excellent service to Pet Lodge customers .

Professionally and positively representing Pet Lodge by conducting yourself in a manner that is in the best interest of Pet Lodge , customers, and team members.

Qualifications :

• Ability to comfortably interact and handle dogs of varying sizes/weights, breeds, and in varying group sizes.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Customer service experience preferred.


• Pet c are experience and or training preferred.


• Proficiency with using office equipment (such as phones, computers, printers) preferred .

Physical Requirements:

• Stand and/or walk for up to 6 hours without a break.


• Kneel, bend, squat, and twist their body .


• Repetitive hand and arm movement; reach, grab, pull, and push objects.


• Perform duties in an environment with loud sounds from animals and smells from pet waste and cleaning chemicals.


• Perform work both indoors and outdoors; experiencing temperature changes according to season, building heating and cooling, and weather.


• Lift up to 50lbs with or without assistance .
