Virginia Beach SPCA Inc. in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Kennel Manager to lead a dedicated team and ensure the highest standard of care for our canine population.

You’ll supervise daily kennel operations, collaborate with shelter, veterinary and customer service teams, and help develop community programs. This hands-on leadership role rewards dedication to animal welfare and compassionate, high-quality care.

• Has genuine passion for animal welfare with minimum 3 years experience
• Enjoys leading, coaching, and supporting a team with at least 1 year in a leadership role
• Is organized, dependable, and able to manage competing priorities

What You’ll Do

As Kennel Manager, you’ll lead a team of dedicated animal care professionals and help create an environment where our adoptable canine population receives the highest standard of care. Along with overseeing the daily care of the kennel population, you will work closely with other organizational departments to maintain and develop a wide range of community programs. This is an active, hands‑on leadership position for someone who enjoys supporting a team, providing quality animal care, and making a meaningful difference in our community.

This is a full time position at 40 hours per week with a Salary Range - $42,000 - $46,000 annually. Starting compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.

The VBSPCA Shelter is staffed 7 days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Our management team is expected to work at least one closing shift each week.
