Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Manager to oversee the daily care of animals and supervise kennel staff at a busy veterinary facility. This hands-on leadership role combines animal care, staff management, and hospital support.

Key Responsibilities:

Animal Care & Facility Maintenance:

• Walk, feed, medicate, and bathe animals in both hospital and boarding care

• Sanitize kennels and common areas, manage laundry, sweeping, and mopping

• Conduct daily patient assessments, including vitals (TPR), charting, and reporting

• Ensure facility cleanliness and compliance with health standards

Veterinary Assistance:

• Support veterinarians in exam rooms and surgery

• Take and chart vitals (TPR)

• Communicate with pet owners in-house and over the phone

Staff Supervision & Management:

• Manage and train Kennel Assistants at multiple locations

• Create and manage work schedules

• Oversee supplies, cleanliness, maintenance, and adherence to policies

• Provide staff correction and enforce protocols as needed

Requirements:

• Prior kennel and management experience

• Ability to lift over 50 lbs

• Strong critical thinking and delegation skills

• Experience creating schedules and managing inventory

• Basic computer proficiency

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
