The Lorain County Dog Kennel's mission is to serve the citizens of Lorain County in the seizure of stray and at-large dogs. Under direction, cleans and maintains kennel areas, feeds animals, operates vehicles and kennel equipment, etc.

The qualified applicant will possess the following

• Completion of secondary education, with any training and/or experience which evidences a basic knowledge of maintenance/cleaning methods and techniques; experience dealing with animals.
• Must possess a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license, plus must be able to qualify for and remain insurable under the County's vehicle insurance policy.
• Must have ability to recognize unusual or threatening conditions and take appropriate action
• Must have ability to work alone on most tasks and perform light manual labor.
