This position is based at Cleveland Park Animal Hospital in Greenville, SC. We are a progressive, full-spectrum, AHAA-accredited animal hospital seeking a motivated, dedicated, and hardworking kennel attendant to join our team. We pride ourselves on offering a welcoming environment for both our team and clients, enabling the highest standard of care for our patients. The schedule is flexible, with holidays and weekends required. We offer competitive benefits and are continuing to grow as a hospital.

Summary

Kennel staff members are responsible for the proper feeding and care of all hospitalized or boarded animals, as well as maintaining cleanliness in cages, runs, and other areas of the hospital.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provides compassionate care to patients.
  • Receives animals for admission, ensures proper identification, and records their locations.
  • Releases animals to owners as directed by the doctor; ensures animals are clean and groomed upon release.
  • Follows a regular schedule for cleaning and sanitizing cages, runs, wards, and related areas; changes litter boxes.
  • Feeds animals as prescribed by the attending doctor and records their appetite.
  • Maintains cleanliness in the kitchen and other relevant hospital areas as directed.
  • Recognizes and records any unusual conditions or abnormal behaviors.
Preferred Education & Experience
  • High school diploma (minimum age 18).
