Job summary

PetVet Care Centers’ Veterinary Associates in Grenada, Mississippi, is seeking a Kennel Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians by cleaning, feeding, exercising and handling pets.

You’ll maintain hospital cleanliness, follow safety protocols, assist with restraints, and communicate health observations to the team. Must be 18+ with animal handling experience; kennel experience and a High School Diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older to be considered.
• Animal handling experience required.
• Kennel experience in a veterinary setting preferred.
• High School Diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Feeds animals as prescribed; records appetites and water intake.
• Assists veterinarians and technicians with patient handling and restraint.
• Maintains hospital cleanliness and sanitizes cages and wards daily.
• Changes litter boxes, cleans equipment, and ensures safe chemical use.
• Walks patients according to schedule and follows written directions.
• Communicates health observations to the team and supports daily operations.
