Job summary

PetVet Care Centers Eastgate Animal Hospital in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Kennel Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, maintaining cleanliness, feeding and exercising pets, and providing compassionate care. Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.
High school diploma or GED required.
Preferably with animal knowledge/experience.
Dog handling and boarding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provides compassionate care to pets.
Feeds animals as prescribed by the attending Veterinarian or owner’s request; records appetites, water intake, and waste.
Recognizes and reports any unusual conditions and monitors for distress or illness.
Assists veterinarians and technicians with pet restraint.
Maintains hospital cleanliness and sanitizes cages, runs, and wards.
Performs other duties as assigned by Manager.
