Job summary

Goodwin Animal Hospital on Atlanta Highway is seeking a dedicated Kennel Assistant to join our team. You’ll care for boarding and daycare pets, monitor health and behavior, and help maintain a clean, safe environment across kennels and outdoor areas.

You will support daily operations, manage supplies, and coordinate with teammates to ensure seamless service. A passion for animals, reliability, and flexibility to work weekends/holidays are essential.

Qualifications

• Love for animals and welfare commitment.
• Reliable and hardworking nature.
• Strong communication and good judgment.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs in a physically active role.
• Previous kennel assistant experience preferred; flexible scheduling including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide Personalized Care: primary caregiver for boarding and daycare pets with proper feeding, exercise, and attention.
• Be the Eyes and Ears of Animal Health: monitor behavior and health, notify medical team of concerns.
• Create a Safe and Healthy Environment: maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels, runs, and grounds.
• Ensure Operational Excellence: manage inventory for food and cleaning supplies; coordinate with team to complete tasks.
