Brookhaven Animal Hospital in Atlanta, GA is seeking a reliable Part-Time Kennel Assistant to join our veterinary team. This hands-on role supports boarding and hospitalized dogs and cats, maintains a clean and safe environment, and helps with daily animal care.

Responsibilities include feeding, walking, bathing, monitoring pet welfare, assisting with handling, and keeping kennels and hospital areas sanitary.

Qualifications

18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with animals, veterinary care, kennels, boarding, daycare, shelters, or customer service is a plus but not required.
Genuine interest in animal care and veterinary medicine.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active during shifts.

Responsibilities

Provide daily care for boarding and hospitalized pets, including feeding and watering.
Walk, bathe, and provide enrichment for dogs and cats.
Monitor pets for changes in behavior, appetite, or overall condition and report concerns to the veterinary team.
Maintain clean and sanitized kennels, cages, runs, and hospital areas.
Assist with basic animal handling and restraint when supporting the veterinary team.
Complete laundry, dishes, stocking, and other daily hospital cleaning tasks.
Help maintain a safe, organized, and comfortable environment for patients.
Interact with clients in a friendly and professional manner when needed.
