The Lovable Dogs Club LLC in Powder Springs, GA is seeking a dedicated Kennel Technician to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of animals while delivering excellent customer service to pet owners.

Responsibilities include daily care, kennel sanitation, health monitoring, and assisting with grooming and training. This full-time role starts at $12.00 per hour with on-the-job training and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of animal care practices and handling.
• Experience with restraint and handling of dogs of various breeds.
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate with pet owners.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for dogs and other animals including feeding, bathing, and exercising.
• Maintain kennel cleanliness and sanitization of kennels, play areas and equipment.
• Monitor health and behavior of animals; report concerns to management or veterinary staff.
• Assist with animal restraint during grooming or veterinary procedures as needed.
• Engage with pet owners to provide updates and answer questions.
• Support dog training sessions and assist with behavioral assessments.
• Assist with intake for new animals including documentation.
• Collaborate with team to ensure a safe environment for pets and staff.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care for animals in a kennel environment. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the animals while also delivering exceptional customer service to pet owners. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about animal care and have experience working with various types of pets.

Duties

• Provide daily care for dogs and other animals, including feeding, bathing , and exercising.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kennel area by regularly cleaning and sanitizing kennels, play areas, and equipment.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management or veterinary staff.
• Assist with animal restraint during grooming or veterinary procedures as needed.
• Engage with pet owners to provide updates on their pets and address any questions or concerns.
• Support dog training sessions and assist with behavioral assessments when required.
• Help with the intake process for new animals, including documentation and assessments.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a safe and positive environment for both pets and staff.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of animal care practices and handling techniques.
• Experience in animal restraint and handling, particularly with dogs of various breeds and temperaments.
• Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their needs.
• Familiarity with dog training methods is a plus; ability to assist in training sessions is beneficial.
• Background in pet sitting or bathing can enhance your candidacy for this role.
• Previous or in a veterinary setting is advantageous but not required.
• A genuine love for animals combined with patience, empathy, and attention to detail is essential for success in this position.
