Job summary

PetDocks Veterinary Hospital in Morehead City is seeking a Kennel Assistant to support the patient care team. You’ll provide daily care for boarding and hospitalized pets, including feeding, watering, walking, monitoring comfort, and safety, while upholding high standards of cleanliness.

This role involves administering medications as directed, assisting with check-in/out, maintaining records, and helping with diagnostics and treatment procedures.

  • Supporting diagnostic and treatment procedures, including sample collection, radiographs, and laboratory work when appropriate
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming hospital environment
  • Providing compassionate care and attention to every patient throughout their stay

At PetDocks Veterinary Hospital, our Kennel Assistants are an essential part of the patient care team. In this role, you'll help ensure every pet in our care is comfortable, safe, clean, and well-loved during their stay. From caring for boarding pets to supporting hospitalized patients, you'll make a direct impact on the experience of both our patients and their families.

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing daily care for boarding and hospitalized pets, including feeding, watering, walking, and monitoring comfort and well-being
  • Administering medications as directed by the veterinary team
  • Bathing and brushing pets as needed
  • Assisting with patient check-in and check-out procedures
