Job summary

PetDocks Veterinary Hospital in Morehead City, NC is seeking a Part-Time or Seasonal Veterinary Technician. The role offers an hourly wage of $16.00–$20.00 depending on experience, education and licensure.

Flexible scheduling with potential seasonal summer/holiday or temporary opportunities; some kennel shifts may be required. Responsibilities include assisting veterinarians with exams and procedures, administering medications and vaccines, and maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.

Qualifications

• NC state RVT license strongly preferred, but not required.
• 1+ years of veterinary clinical experience.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments per doctor orders.
• Prepare and maintain nursing care in a veterinary hospital setting.
• Ensure a clean, safe and organized work environment.

About Clinic PetDocks Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Part-Time or Seasonal Veterinary Technician to join our team in Morehead City, North Carolina.

Salary: $16.00-$20.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location.

Schedule: Flexible part-time schedule available. We are open to candidates seeking seasonal employment, including those looking for summer, holiday, or temporary opportunities. Days and hours can be discussed based on availability and hospital needs. Some boarding/kennel shifts may be required.

Who You Are:

• NC state RVT license strongly preferred, but not required
• 1 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary assistant or technician required

• Passion for working with animals and their owners
• Familiarity with Cornerstone or ProVet preferred
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint of a variety of species
• Ability to perform nursing care in a veterinary hospital setting
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
• Basic understanding of common medications, vaccinations, and preventatives
