Job summary

Herbruck's Poultry Ranch, Inc. is seeking a Processing Maintenance II to perform routine maintenance while learning processing policies and procedures. As experience grows, duties will broaden under supervision.

The role involves calibrations, diagnostics, and ensuring HACCP compliance to protect product integrity, with collaboration across Maintenance, Processing, Safety, and Quality teams. Weekend shifts and on-call availability are required in a farm environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance tasks, calibrations, and timing adjustments with supervision.
• Ability to perform minor and major machine diagnostics and performance tuning.
• DVM usage to measure electrical parameters (preferred).
• Proven mechanical and electrical abilities.
• Able to work around moving machinery safely.
• Weekend work and on-call flexibility.
• Farm environment experience/comfort with farm conditions.
• Does not own or maintain routine contact with swine, birds, or cattle.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine calibrations, timing adjustments, and routine preventative maintenance (oiling, greasing, inspection).

• Monitor and address HACCP situations to maintain product integrity.
• Maintain communication between Maintenance, Processing, Safety and Quality teams; document actions and needs.
• Maintain equipment parts and inventory; place orders with supervision.
• Complete LMS training in a timely manner.
• Comply with strict food safety and animal welfare standards; report incidents to management.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Position Summary:

Processing Maintenance ll will perform routine duties while learning processing policies and procedures. As, experience is gained, duties will become more diversified and are performed under more general supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Perform machine calibrations, timing adjustments, and various preventative maintenance functions (oiling, greasing, and inspection).
• Perform minor machine diagnostics/performance tuning with supervision.
• Perform major machine diagnostics/performance tuning with supervision.
• Monitor and correct situations which activate any HACCP situations to maintain integrity of the product being produced.
• Maintains continuity between Maintenance, Processing, Safety and Quality teams by documenting and/or communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs as they arise.
• Maintains equipment parts and supply inventory, placing orders from vendors with supervision.
• Complete training in a timely manner as they are assigned in LMS.
• Comply with the strictest standards for Food Safety and animal welfare and to report incidents to management.
• Any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Ability to perform all machine preventative maintenance tasks, calibrations, and timing adjustments with supervision.
• Ability to perform minor and major machine diagnostics and performance tuning.
• Ability to use DVM (Digital Voltage Meter) to measure voltage, continuity, resistance. Preferred but not required.
• Proven mechanical/electrical abilities.
• Able to work around moving machinery comfortably and safely.
• Proven mechanical / electrical ability.
• Capable of working weekends and maintaining a flexible schedule. This includes regularly scheduled shifts Saturday and Sunday as well as holidays if needed, being on call.
• Working in a farm environment with various conditions
• Does not own or maintain routine contact with swine, birds, or cattle.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to remain standing and/or walking for extended periods of time on concrete floors.
• Ability to stoop, bend, climb and lift at least 25 pounds. continuously throughout the day and 50 pounds occasionally.
