KenCrest Infant and Toddler (Early Head Start) Teacher

Full Time, Monday through Friday, hours from 7AM to 6PM

KenCrest is seeking Infant and Toddler (Early Head Start) Teachers to support our Star 4 Early Childhood Programs at three locations in Philadelphia, PA. (Only Adams, North and West offers EHS)

As an Infant and Toddler Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our youngest children by planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities and lessons for infants and toddlers, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, providing individualized support and guidance to students, communicating regularly with parents and guardians, participating in professional development opportunities, and collaborating with other teachers to create a cohesive and effective educational program.

As a KenCrest Infant and Toddler (Early Head Start) Teacher, you will receive:

  • Offer of Act 48 Credits
  • Part of the TEACH Grant
  • As KenCrest is a registered 503c non-profit, employees may qualify for the government loan forgiveness program on eligible federal student loans

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in early childhood education or a related field
  • 9 credits or 3 classes that includes infant toddler care
  • Previous experience working with infant toddler students is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with young children
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents/guardians
  • Proficiency in using technology for instructional purposes
