Job summary

S&K Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic II – APG / Crew Chief to perform KC-135 aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repair, servicing and documentation at Fairchild AFB, WA with potential TDY to other KC-135 locations.

The role covers general aircraft maintenance, flightline operations, scheduled/unscheduled tasks, and coordination of servicing, with opportunity to train less experienced mechanics and work under approved technical data and manuals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of aircraft maintenance experience on military heavy aircraft.
• APG, crew chief, flightline maintenance, launch/recovery, servicing, scheduled/unscheduled maintenance experience required.
• Experience using aircraft technical orders, maintenance manuals, and documentation systems required.
• A&P certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform KC-135 aircraft general maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repair, servicing, launch, recovery and documentation.
• Accomplish pre-flight, thru-flight, post-flight, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot structures, landing gear, flight controls, engines, fuel, hydraulic and related systems.
• Perform servicing, lubrication, tire/brake checks, panel removal/installation, component replacement and checks.
• Support towing, jacking, ground handling, marshaling and use of ground support equipment.
• Interpret and apply technical orders, manuals, service bulletins, drawings and data.
• Document maintenance actions in approved forms and systems.
• Use maintenance tools, test equipment, torque wrenches and measuring devices as required.
• Comply with Tool Control, FOD prevention, safety, quality and security requirements.
• Provide technical guidance or on-the-job training to less experienced mechanics.
• Support TDY maintenance operations at other KC-135 locations as required.
