Job summary

Goodfellow Bros Inc. (GBI) is a fourth-generation, family-owned heavy-civil contractor with operations across the West Coast and Hawaii.

We are excited to welcome a Project Engineer Intern to our Koloa, HI team on the island of Kauai for summer. As an Engineering Intern, you will work under supervision of a Project Engineer, supporting layout, form design, subcontract monitoring and other construction duties, learning daily responsibilities of a GBI project engineer.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering.
• Legal right to work in the US without employer sponsorship.
• Travel may be required.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with layout, form design, and subcontract monitoring.
• Help with change orders, plan checking, and document control.
• Track work hour utilization and productivity with Project Engineers/Managers.
• Prepare cost breakdown and assist in monthly invoicing.
• Coordinate material deliveries and subcontractor scheduling.

Education

Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering
