Job summary

Williams Construction LLC on Kauai is seeking an Operational Rockstar to join our design-build team. The ideal candidate will lead daily operations, training, and mentoring to improve people and processes in a luxury residential firm.

You will manage up to 40 professionals across Project Managers, trades, designers, architects, and administrative staff, serving as the bridge between leadership and the owner while driving efficiency and a strong company culture on Kauai.

Qualifications

• 7+ years as Operations Manager or similar in Construction or Hospitality Operations.
• 5-7 years managing diverse, cross-functional teams.
• Proven record of productivity gains, better communication and streamlined processes.
• Basic knowledge of HR processes and procedures.
• World-class communication skills bridging leadership, owner, and clients.
• Flexible and resilient leadership style.
• Humility, team orientation, and pulse on business.
• Ability to train, mentor, and motivate a team for peak performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations (focusing on people and processes) of a luxury residential design-build firm.
• Lead and manage a team of up to 40 team members, including Project Managers, Tradesmen, Designers, Architects, and Administrative Support personnel.
• Act as the liaison between the leadership team and the owner.
• Analyze processes and systems and make recommendations to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Enrich the company culture and support the morale of the team through personalized, hands-on management.
• Maintain a general knowledge of the status of all projects.
• Recommend and implement leadership development opportunities.
• Act as the company captain - constantly checking on the morale, productivity, and effectiveness of the team.
