Job summary

Virgin Hotels is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations at our Las Vegas property. You will lead staff during busy hours, hire and train team members, and drive guest satisfaction while maintaining food safety and cost controls.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in restaurant leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency with POS systems, Windows, and Office. Flexible scheduling and a customer-focused mindset are essential.

Job description

The Restaurant Manager will oversee and manage the daily operations of the restaurant. We are looking for a results-driven restaurant manager to meet sales goals by hiring and training competent staff, overseeing kitchen operations, and motivating staff during busy hours. To be successful as a restaurant manager you must have excellent interpersonal skills as well as experience in a restaurant environment. A good Restaurant Manager can multitask and remain calm in stressful situations. Inspire your management team and all Kassi team members to bring their very best to Kassi every day.

Requirements

THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties):

• Ability to professionally address customer complaints
• Oversees food preparation, ensuring compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards
• Ensures customer satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant and dining experience
• Handles customer complaints, resolving issues in a diplomatic and courteous manner
• Ensures compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations
• Estimates food and beverage costs
• Manages inventory and purchases food and supplies
• Conducts daily inspection of restaurant and equipment to ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards
• Periodically evaluates restaurant equipment for repairs and maintenance, schedules for service
• Hires and trains restaurant staff
• Organizes and oversees the staff schedules
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
• Oversees hiring, discipline, and termination of employees in accordance with restaurant policy
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Familiar with point-of-sale computers and software
• Comfortable using a computer, navigating Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook Email

THE WORKING CONDITIONS

• Standing and walking for long periods of time
• Lift and carry 50 lbs., carry and balance plates, carry kegs, wine and beer cases as necessary
• Stand for periods of 8-10 hours
• Communicate clearly in verbal and written English
• Bend, squat and stretch in areas of limited space to perform cleaning, organization, and other duties
• Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of cold, heat, smoke, and sound. Incumbents are at times subject to hazards such as chemicals; proper safety precautions will be taken
• You may come into contact with pet hair or dander
