Language Services Associates, Inc. is seeking qualified telephonic interpreters for Karenni in its network of independently contracted interpreters.

You will handle on-demand calls to facilitate communication for LEP communities in diverse settings. Responsibilities include providing effective remote interpreting, responding to inbound calls promptly, delivering excellent customer service, and upholding the Code of Professional Conduct and confidentiality standards.

Qualificações

• Full fluency in English and Karenni.
• Tech proficiency with web-based platforms, email and Word.
• A quiet, secure interpreting space free of interruptions.
• 1+ years of professional interpreting preferred.
• Industry certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, Bridging the Gap, Cross-Cultural).

Overview

As a US based telephonic interpreter for Karenni in LSA’s network of Independently Contracted Interpreters, you are responsible for handling telephone calls on demand and facilitating language communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community in a variety of settings. Language Services Associates is continuously accepting qualified interpreters!

Responsibilities

• Provide effective telephonic remote interpreting
• Answer inbound calls in a timely manner
• Provide superior customer service
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices

Qualifications/Experience

• Full fluency in both English and Karenni
• Technology proficient (web-based platforms, email, Microsoft Word)
• An interpreting space that is quiet, secure, and free from outside noises
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred
• Industry specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, Bridging the Gap, Cross-Cultural, etc.)
