Role Description

This is a remote, contract role for a Karenni Interpreter. The Karenni Interpreter will provide accurate, confidential, and culturally sensitive interpretation between Karenni and English in settings such as healthcare, legal, education, and government services. Day-to-day tasks include responding to scheduled and on-demand calls or video sessions, facilitating clear communication between parties, and adhering to established interpreting protocols and codes of ethics. The interpreter will be expected to manage assignments through GLOBO’s technology platform, maintain professional boundaries, and follow client-specific instructions and documentation requirements as needed. The role may also involve occasional participation in training sessions and performance reviews to ensure continuous quality improvement.
