Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, education, or related field; an equivalent combination of education and life/work experience may be considered.
• At least two years of experience working with youth in social services, case management, or community engagement; juvenile justice or child welfare preferred.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to various work environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills with youth and ʻohana.
• Knowledge of Hawaiian culture and community dynamics, with the ability to integrate into outreach.
• Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Valid Hawaiʻi driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Current TB clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a welcoming and consistent point of contact for kamaliʻi and ʻohana during the enrollment process.
• Guide and implement the program enrollment process.
• Provide guidance and support to youth in LC programs, including check-in and coordination of drop-offs and pick-ups.
• Collaborate with the Kamaliʻi Recruitment and Wellness Team to plan inclusive, culturally grounded events.
• Support recruitment and enrollment strategies that align with LC’s mission.
• Assist with facility operations to ensure safety and readiness.
• Provide administrative support including documentation, data collection, and reporting.
• Coordinate volunteer opportunities and placements.
• Build relationships with community organizations, schools, and stakeholders.
• Represent LC at community events and assist with youth leadership initiatives.
