Job summary

Ventek Solutions LLC is seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist to drive Lean initiatives across on-site Shelbyville operations in the Louisville area. You will lead Kaizen events, map value streams, and implement standardized work while partnering with engineering, quality, supply chain, and leadership to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in manufacturing, strong Lean/Six Sigma knowledge, and experience with ERP/MRP systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, continuous improvement, or related roles.
Experience deploying Lean Manufacturing principles in a production environment.
Experience leading Kaizen events, process improvement workshops, or transformation initiatives.
Experience analyzing and improving business workflows and operational systems.
Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies (5S, Kaizen, VSM, Standardized Work, Visual Management, SMED, TPM, RCA, PDCA/A3, OEE, Six Sigma).
Experience with process mapping, KPI development, and operational performance management.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to drive decisions.
Effective leadership, coaching, facilitation, and change management abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives across manufacturing and support functions.
Facilitate Kaizen events, VSM, root cause analysis, and cross-functional problem solving to improve key metrics.
Drive waste reduction and optimize processes to improve flow, reduce downtime, scrap, and non-value-added activities.
Develop, implement, and sustain standardized work, visual management, process controls, audits, and best practices.
Analyze performance data, monitor KPIs, and develop reporting tools to identify trends and gaps.
Partner with multiple teams to improve process flow and system utilization.
Support ERP/MRP process improvements and data accuracy initiatives, plus automation opportunities.
Coach and train employees on Lean methodologies and continuous improvement principles.
Lead change management to ensure sustainment of improvements.
Conduct process audits and support compliance with quality and customer requirements.
Support strategic goals, new product launches, capacity improvements, and track project savings.
