Johnston County Public Schools' Wilson's Mills Elementary in Wilson's Mills, North Carolina seeks a K3 Teacher Assistant (HQ) to support classroom instruction and supervise students. Reports to the Principal.

This 9-month position starts immediately. Qualified candidates must be a high school graduate and meet Highly Qualified Status by one of: a 2- or 4-year degree, 48 semester hours, or Pathways to TA Class with WorkKeys.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must meet Highly Qualified Status: a 2- or 4-year degree, or 48 semester hours.
• Pathways to TA Class with WorkKeys test completed.
• Ability to work with children and follow detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Gives group instruction and provides individualized support.
• Prepares instructional materials and arranges classroom.
• Proctors tests, scores papers, and distributes materials.
• Monitors student behavior and reinforces positive conduct.
• May serve as bus driver/sub bus driver/monitor as required.
