Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must meet Highly Qualified Status by one of: 2 or 4 year degree; 48 semester hours; Pathways to TA class with WorkKeys test.
• Working knowledge of effective methods of dealing with children.
• Ability to solve minor problems and follow detailed written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Gives group instruction and provides individualized instruction.
• Demonstrates instructional activities.
• Checks and corrects students’ work and keeps them on task.
• Praises and reinforces achievement and reports progress to teacher.
• Arranges classroom furnishings and prepares visual aids.
