Zen Educate Inc. is seeking substitute teachers in Avondale, Arizona to support inclusive and special education classrooms for the full year. You will gain classroom experience across a single school building and work with multiple classrooms.

Requirements include Arizona Substitute Teaching License, IVP Level 1 Clearance, English proficiency, and US work authorization. Pay is $160-$175 per day with a Monday-Thursday schedule roughly 7:30 to 3:00/4:30 pm, plus benefits after eligibility.

We're looking for adaptable and committed substitute teachers to support learning across a single school building. You’ll work with multiple classrooms, gaining valuable teaching experience and building lasting relationships in one consistent setting.

Responsibilities

• Support the school where needed
• Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
• Assign lessons and follow the classroom teacher’s lesson plans
• Maintaining a safe learning environment
• Utilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the students’ learning experiences and support them as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Substitute Teaching License in Arizona
• IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Experience working with children
• Applicants must have professional proficiency in English
• US Work Authorization as Zen Educate is unable to sponsor any employment visa or relocation assistance at this time

Physical Requirements:

• Comfortable being on your feet and moving around the classroom throughout the day
• Able to lift up to 20 lbs and safely assist students when needed (kneeling, bending, quick response)
• Additional physical requirements may be requested during your application process

Preferred Qualifications:

• Subject matter expertise
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience supporting SPED students

Salary:

• Pay: $160 - $175 per day
• Schedule: Monday to Thursday, within hours of 7:30 - 3:00/4:30 pm
