Compensation: Per Paraeducator Contract Wage Schedule III.

General Statement:

To serve as an integral member of the student support team to provide services to students in accordance with the goals/objectives identified by the Individual Education Plan (IEP) in programs for students in specialized programs, including those with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), with the overarching goal of promoting student independence and autonomy.

Bridge Kindergarten (K)

Bridge Kindergarten (K) is a specialized self-contained classroom designed to support students with special needs transitioning from APPLES prekindergarten into kindergarten. Staffed by a special education teacher and two paraeducators, the class size is 8-10 students demonstrating readiness for varying levels of mainstream integration. The primary goal is to provide a supportive environment that fosters their progress towards full inclusion when developmentally appropriate.
