Job summary

Alpha is hiring for a full-time, on-site Youth Development Specialist to coach K-8 students in workshops and motivation sessions across Alpha campuses. You will leverage AI-powered tools to drive weekly goals, administer mastery checks, and adapt curricula to reach diverse learners with a supportive, high-standard approach.

Relocation support is provided for positions in Scottsdale, AZ; Oklahoma City or Tulsa, OK; Nashville, TN; or Austin, Dallas, or Plano, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any subject
• At least 3 years working directly with K-8 students: teaching, tutoring, coaching, or youth program work
• Comfortable letting adaptive learning software deliver instruction while you coach motivation and life-skills
• Proven record of high achievement in academics, athletics, or work
• Stage presence to engage 12-year-olds for an hour without shouting
• Legal right to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Lead one-hour life-skills workshops for K-8 cohorts on public speaking, focus, and feedback
• Conduct daily 1:1 and small-group motivation sessions using Coachbot analytics and Alpha incentives
• Administer Test2Pass mastery assessments and re-coach until passed
• Adapt workshop playbooks and create new sessions for different age groups
• Be the trusted adult who maintains high standards and supportive guidance
