Job summary

The role leads professional development, collaborates with administration on wellness initiatives and data-driven interventions, and serves as a liaison with parents to maintain a safe, nurturing, academically rigorous school culture.

Qualifications

• Requires personal relationship with Jesus Christ and church support.
• Experience with student mediation and crisis team interventions.
• Experience planning and leading programs supporting social growth.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with students, families, and staff.
• Proficiency in analyzing student data to inform interventions.

Responsibilities

• Acts as student advocate to coordinate support services or address urgent situations as a member of the VCS crisis team.
• Guides students in character formation, mediation, conflict resolution, responsibility, and spiritual development through mentoring and counseling.
• Assist teachers with classroom management and instructional practices through coaching and resources.
• Guides students/families to outside Christian counseling services as necessary.
• Attend student discipline, wellness and academic progress meetings with staff and parents.
