Job summary

Alpha is hiring a Counselor to lead life-skills workshops for K-8 students at one of its campuses. You will conduct daily 1:1 and small-group motivation sessions using Coachbot analytics to push students to 100% of their weekly app goals.

You will not lecture or grade homework; instead you coach, adapt sessions for different ages, and uphold high standards while working in person at a campus. Relocation support is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any subject.
• Minimum 3 years working directly with K-8 students.
• Willing to work in person at an Alpha campus in the US locations listed.
• Able to let adaptive learning software deliver instruction while you coach motivation and life-skills.
• Proven record of high achievement in academics, athletics, or work.
• Strong stage presence to engage 12-year-olds for an hour.
• Legal right to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead one-hour life-skills workshops for K-8 cohorts on public speaking, focus, and feedback.
• Run daily 1:1 and small-group motivation sessions to push students to 100% of weekly app goals.
• Administer the Test2Pass mastery assessments and re-coach until passing.
• Adapt the workshop playbook and create new sessions for different ages.
• Be the trusted adult upholding high standards for students.
