Job summary

Attleboro Public Schools are seeking a K-8 Special Education Team Facilitator for Wamsutta Middle (0.6) and Brennan Middle Schools (0.4). Start date: 10/19/2026.

This role ensures compliance with federal and state special education laws to provide FAPE in the least restrictive environment. Requirements include a Bachelor's or higher in Special Education or related field, a valid license, and at least 5 years of experience with students with disabilities, preferably at the high school level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field.
• License in Special Education or related field (e.g., Speech Language).
• Minimum 5 years' experience with students with disabilities; preference for high school experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate Team meetings including initial and reevaluation eligibility, manifestation, and reconvene meetings.
• Act as a resource to school staff regarding special education issues, curriculum, services, and programming.
• Ensure all Special Education procedures are completed within regulatory timelines.
• Manage compliance monitoring systems for assigned school(s) including annual reviews.
• Support staff in the development of compliant IEPs that meet student needs.
• Consult with providers, parents, and others to ensure understanding of the Team Process.
• Prepare and coordinate documents for team members (evaluations, reports).
• Support transitions from preschool and elementary.
• Facilitate parent observations of programs.
• Collaborate with admins and SPED staff on building-based issues.

Education
