AMS – Academies of Math and Science is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher (K–8) for the 2026–2027 school year at the Nellis Campus in Las Vegas, NV. The role focuses on delivering specialized instruction under IEPs, collaborating with general educators, families, and support staff to ensure equitable access and success for students with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Valid Special Education teaching license issued by the Nevada Department of Education (NDE) or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field, is required
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
• Show commitment to serving Title I and multilingual learner communities
• Demonstrate analytical skills and a data-driven instructional mindset

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals and Nevada Academic Content Standards
• Differentiate instruction to support students with diverse learning needs and abilities
• Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals using data-driven instructional practices
• Implement accommodations, modifications, and interventions to support student success
• Support students in developing academic, organizational, and self-advocacy skills
