Job summary

Ambition Preparatory Charter School seeks dedicated teachers for K-8 to deliver high-quality instruction and college-prep skills. You will develop engaging lessons, differentiate for learners, and collaborate with staff to meet district goals using digital tools.

You will monitor student growth, support SPED and 504 plans, and strive for strong relationships with families, students, and the community. A growth mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and state Special Education certification are required.
• Mississippi teaching license with SPED endorsement is needed.
• At least two years of teaching experience is required.
• Strong computer skills, including Google Suite, are expected.
• Experience with under-resourced communities and families is valued.
• Proven communication skills with all levels of staff and leadership.
• Ability to lead, influence teams and drive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to state standards.
• Collaborate with staff to plan instructional goals and best practices.
• Design learning experiences using digital tools to promote learning.
• Monitor student achievement and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Coordinate RTI and manage 504/SPED programming as needed.
• Lead extracurricular activities and engage parents and community.
