Role

It Takes A Village Leadership Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Spanish teacher to join our vibrant K-8 elementary school community. The Spanish teacher will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and supportive school culture, promoting student success, and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students and contribute to their overall academic, social, and emotional growth.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a standards-based Spanish language curriculum aligned with proficiency guidelines and educational standards.
• Design lesson plans that incorporate communicative language teaching methodologies, authentic materials, and cultural content to engage students in meaningful language learning experiences.
• Introduce students to the culture, history, and traditions of Spanish-speaking countries through authentic materials, cultural projects, and discussions.
• Assess student language proficiency through a variety of formative and summative assessments, such as oral proficiency interviews, written assignments, projects, and performance tasks.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including heritage speakers, English language learners, and students with varying levels of proficiency.

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $43,019 - $52,770

Required Education And Experience

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in education or a related field.
• Professional Educator License (PEL) or Educator License with Stipulations (ELS) are strongly preferred but not required.
• 3-5 years of teaching experience is strongly preferred.
