Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Teacher for the Southwest Side location (2040 W 62nd St). You will be responsible for instruction, progress, and discipline of all pupils in assigned classes, collaborating with staff and parents to support student achievement.

Minimum requirements include completing student teaching and obtaining an Illinois teaching certificate and appropriate licensure (PEL/ELS). Related duties and participation in professional activities are expected.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of student teaching and coursework to obtain teaching certificate(s) issued by the Illinois State Board of Education.
• Teachers must possess at least one valid teaching license (PEL or ELS) endorsed for this position.
• Knowledge of subject matter and contemporary teaching practices.
