Job summary

National Heritage Academies through Atlanta Heights Charter School in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Title 1 paraprofessional to support students with targeted reading, writing, and math instruction. This role emphasizes helping students access the curriculum and grow academically, morally, and socially.

You will work closely with teachers, participate in professional development, and assist in 1:1 or small-group sessions, using structured interventions and technology to navigate classroom systems.

Qualifications

• Meets state requirements for a Title 1 paraprofessional.
• Experience with school-age children preferred.
• Ability to assist in teaching reading, writing, and/or mathematics.
• Able to navigate technical systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess student abilities and provide instructional assistance for students in need of academic intervention through 1:1 or group workshops as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Commit to educating the whole student – academically, morally, and socially.
• Implement result-driven curriculum to achieve significant growth from fall to spring testing.
• Attend professional development and articulation meetings with classroom teachers and parents as required.
