Qualifications

• Education and Experience: Successful completion of student teaching requirements and all coursework required to obtain the appropriate teaching certificate issued by the Illinois State Board of Education.
• License Requirements: Teachers must possess at least one valid teaching license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (PEL or ELS).
• Knowledge, Abilities, and Skill: Knowledge of subject matter and classroom management, strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan instruction with written lesson plans aligned to instructional objectives.
• Evaluate pupil progress and maintain accurate records of achievements.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about academic progress, attendance, and conduct.
• Participate in in-service meetings and professional staff meetings; support field trips and after-school activities as needed.
