Job summary

Academies of Math and Science in Mesa is seeking an English Language Development Teacher (K–8) to deliver data-informed, differentiated instruction and foster an inclusive learning environment. You will collaborate with grade-level teams and engage families to support student growth and achievement.

The role emphasizes using AMS curriculum standards, attending weekly PD, and leveraging PBIS to build social-emotional skills.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Title I and ESL students in underserved communities.
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain IVP fingerprint clearance card.
• Experience using data to drive instruction.
• Experience collaborating in professional learning communities.

Responsibilities

• Use AMS curriculum standards to teach students above and below grade level through differentiated instruction.
• Attend weekly professional development sessions and collaborate in grade-level or content-area professional learning communities
• Communicate effectively with parents and lead parent-student-teacher conferences to promote student progress and achievement
• Collaborate with administrators and staff to create a positive, supportive learning environment that addresses academic and behavioral needs
• Use measurable data to monitor and enrich student progress with visible results
• Work collaboratively with school and network teams to improve instructional practices and ensure ongoing academic success
• Use PBIS and preventative intervention strategies to guide students in developing social and emotional skills essential for lifelong learning
