Job summary

Jennings County Schools seeks an Educational Support Tutor (K8) with a valid Indiana teaching license to provide targeted reading and math interventions and classroom support within the MTSS framework.

The role involves collaboration with teachers and administrators, data-informed instruction, and ongoing progress monitoring during the school year. Hours are capped at 22 per week, with pay at $40 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid Indiana Teaching License.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of all required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted reading and mathematics interventions to individual students and small groups.
• Support classroom instruction through co-teaching, differentiated instruction, and supplemental academic support.
• Collaborate with teachers, instructional coaches, and administrators to identify student needs and develop instructional plans.
• Assist with administering assessments, monitoring student progress, and using data to inform instructional decisions.
• Support the implementation of evidence-based instructional practices.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate results with teachers and administrators.
• Foster positive relationships with students while maintaining a safe, supportive learning environment.
• Utilize instructional technology and digital resources to enhance student learning.
• Participate in professional learning, grade-level/content-area collaboration, and district initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal or district administration.
