Qualifications

• Ability to develop engaging art lessons for K–8.
• Passion for fostering creativity and hands-on learning.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse abilities.
• Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to integrate art with STEAM-focused learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned art instruction for students in grades K–8.
• Develop age-appropriate art lessons introducing a variety of techniques, materials, media, and styles.
• Encourage creativity, self-expression, experimentation, and artistic problem-solving.
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse abilities and learning needs.
• Integrate art with core subjects, STEAM activities, and project-based learning.
• Introduce students to art history, traditions, and diverse artists and cultures.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Organize and maintain art supplies and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects.
