Job summary

Pickford Public Schools seeks an enthusiastic K-12 Art Teacher to deliver engaging, project-based Art instruction for grades Pre-K–5. The teacher will weave Art into multidisciplinary curricula and collaborate with staff to elevate learning experiences.

The role requires a valid Michigan Art Education certificate and demonstrated ability to integrate technology, develop strong relationships with parents and professionals, and manage Art programs with organization and accountability.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate in Art Education.
• Evidence of prior successful teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to deliver rich, student-centered Art learning experiences.
• Plan and implement Art experiences across K-5 curricula.
• Use technology and online tools to support instruction.

Responsibilities

• Delivers Art instruction through project-based learning methods.
• Attends professional development and training related to Art programs and methodologies.
• Employs a variety of instructional techniques and assessments to meet goals.
• Uses technology to promote learning, creativity, and collaboration.
• Collaborates with administrators and staff on Art initiatives and curriculum.
• Organizes and coordinates special Art events/activities.
• Coaches teachers on Art initiatives and practices.
• Serves as liaison to vendors and agencies for resources and innovations.
• Initiates new programs to support Art vision and shares events publicly.
