Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Licensure: NYS Teaching Assistant Certification (Level I-III) or enrollment in a certification program.
• Student supervision with safety protocols for elopement.
• Strong collaboration and organizational skills in a team-based setting.
• Background checks including NYSED fingerprinting clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the certified teacher with lessons aligned to IEP goals and NYSED standards.
• Provide small group and individual instructional support.
• Adapt materials to meet diverse learner needs and reinforce learning.
• Promote positive learning behaviors and engagement.
• Ensure minimal disruption when the teacher is absent.
