SCO Family of Services seeks a dedicated Instructional Support Assistant to aid students with education plans and behaviors under teacher supervision. The role focuses on individualized and small-group learning, maintaining a structured classroom, and reinforcing positive behaviors.

Candidates should have a NYS Teacher Assistant certification or be actively pursuing it, plus experience supporting students with ED/ID. A high school diploma is required, with higher education preferred.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• New York State Teacher Assistant certification preferred or actively pursuing.
• Experience supporting students with ED and/or ID is strongly preferred.
• Assist with individual, small-group, and whole-class instruction under teacher direction.
• Provide teacher-directed academic help and supportive prompts as needed.
• Reinforce classroom expectations, routines, and positive behavior.
• Support students’ IEP goals and document progress as directed.

Responsabilidades

• Assist during instruction, transitions, meals, recreation, and health education.
• Provide individualized assistance and behavior supports per student plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, related-service providers, and families to support learners.
• Document student data, observations, and progress as required by the team.
