Job summary

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Special Education or related field preferred.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education or related field required; eligibility for NYS certification.
• NYS Certification in Special Education or enrollment in certification program within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily and weekly lesson plans aligned with NYSED standards and IEP goals.
• Deliver differentiated instruction using evidence-based practices.
• Provide individual, small group, and whole-class instruction supporting academic and social-emotional growth.
• Monitor progress toward IEP goals using ongoing assessment data.
• Collaborate with related service providers for integrated supports.
• Supervise classroom staff and promote trauma-informed, safe environment.
• Ensure compliance with NYSED regulations and agency policies.
