Job summary

Indiana Math and Science Academy Central is seeking a caring paraprofessional to support students in kindergarten through sixth grade. You will assist with literacy, math, science, and other content areas, while collaborating with teachers to meet individual goals.

The role may include short-term classroom coverage, following lesson plans and established routines. The schedule offers two shifts: 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. and 9:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., requiring reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and staff.
• Ability to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, and follow written and verbal directions.
• Experience supporting diverse learners, including SPED and ELL, in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with small-group and individual instruction in reading, mathematics, writing, science, and other content areas.
• Provide services and accommodations under the direction of a licensed special education teacher; collect progress data.
• Support English language learners and reinforce vocabulary and language-development activities.
• Provide occasional short-term classroom coverage following lesson plans and school procedures.
