Qualifications

• High school graduate with technical training in special education or equivalent experience.
• DPI certification provided by employee.
• CPR, non-violent crisis intervention, and first aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe learning atmosphere for students to meet or surpass their capabilities.
• Support and facilitate IEP/504 goals and collect related data.
• Promote inclusion of students in classroom and community settings.
• Lead small groups and individual instruction under a teacher's guidance.
• Assist with accommodations on assignments and tests.
• Provide supervision across educational environments.
• Follow directives from the special education contact teacher and solve problems to meet student needs.
